IT Career Awareness Program

ITCND and the ND Department of Career and Technical Education, along with other private and public sector partners, has developed the first-ever IT Career Awareness Program to inform students, parents and educators of IT career opportunities in North Dakota and develop a world-class IT workforce for the future.

According to research conducted by two workforce-related state agencies, securing an educated and skilled IT workforce for the future and creating awareness of the state's IT career opportunities are two significant IT workforce needs. Prior to the IT Career Awareness Program, there no statewide program to address these issues.

Wade Kadrmas is the IT Career Awareness Program coordinator and ITCND is the private sector connection.

IT Career Awareness Program Partners include: Bank of North Dakota, Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Bismarck State College, Dakota Carrier Network, Discovery Benefits, MDU Resources Group, Microsoft Fargo, National Information Solutions Cooperative, North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education and Valley City State University.
